Scheduling

Before any treatment is commenced, a consultation is vital. The consultation involves meeting with you to discuss the cause of your problem, available treatment options, the likelihood of success, the number of visits required, and the fees involved.

Treatment costs can vary from the above if more appointments are necessary than usual. Treatment often requires 2-3 visits over a period of time . Treatment costs will be spread out over the number of appointments based on what was performed at the appointment.

It is our policy that your endodontic care is paid for at the time of treatment.

HICAPS is not available at our office.

If you are affiliated with a private health fund an itemised invoice will be provided after payment. Your health fund determines the amount of rebate you receive and you can claim the rebate from your health fund by sending them the paid itemised invoice.

After the root canal treatment, you will usually be required to have a new final restoration or crown placed to stop the tooth from developing cracks. Development of future cracks risk tooth loss. The final restoration or crown is performed by your general dentist and is an extra cost to the endodontic treatment. Please discuss this cost of crown restoration with your general dentist.

Cost of treatment and Financial Policy

Endodontic treatment is a complex procedure and the cost will vary depending on the tooth, difficulty of the treatment and number of appointments required.

In general, back teeth (molars) are technically more time consuming to treat than front teeth. During your consultation visit, all anticipated costs associated with your treatment will be discussed with you.

Payment is due at the time of service for all patients.
